Thought of the day

When Democrats try to justify the selection of Joseph Biden as vice presidential candidate, they argue that he is a good selection because he has the necessary skills for the job. When Republicans try to justify the selection of Sarah Palin as vice presidential candidate, they argue that she is a good selection because she will help McCain win the election.

No I didn't what happened?

Oh Zambezi's jaw must have dropped with Palin's pearls of wisdom

"The interesting thing in the last couple of days that I have seen is that Americans are waiting to see what John McCain will do on this proposal. They're not waiting to see what Barack Obama is going to do. Is he going to do this and see what way the political wind's blowing? They're waiting to see if John McCain will be able to see these amendments implemented in Paulson's proposal."

That's right - McCain "The dog ate my homework" wants to postpone the debate to eclipse the Biden/Palin debate. The Repugnican camp is already protesting she is going to be vulnerable in the current free form debate format.

Yes my jaw dropped after I read the transcript. Hopefully by now, even the most brainwashed Republicans must have realized how dimwitted and ignorant their VP candidate is.

It's scary. Prior to this, I was ok with McCain. Not sold on the guy, but I would be ok if he won.

Now, it smacks of a disaster of Biblical proportions.

Gawker - no they won't. Your post explains it. They knew how smart she was, she is drawing the crowds and they want to win.

What annoys me more now is Obama will also (be forced to) support the bailout because now everyone is too chicken to take a stand and look "unpatriotic".

we think alike. i compared her to the other young lady as soon as i saw the interview. i read the transcript a few times to make sure i was not the one being stupid. i just dont understand this. republican or democrat, i dont care a fuck eitherway. dont you think it is the responsible duty of the party involved to atleast put the right people to run for office? this is getting worse day by day and more so scary. there is no hope and with the economy crashing, things are looking dire. Mccain seriously shot himself in the foot by picking her.

robroy : Exactly my thoughts. But now with his VP pick,
1.> McCain has shown himself to be full of shit with no regard for the welfare of this country
and
2.> What do we do when McCain passes on and Palin is left in charge? Do we hide under our tables?

ggop : Although her attraction to the idiot demographic has since diminished so let's see, hopefully things might not be as bad.

zambezi : More than shooting himself in the foot, I think he's shooting the country in the face with this pick. And he has the balls to say Obama puts campaign ahead of country. Fucking bastard.
