Tip of the day

I learnt this one way back during my graduate school days. If all your friends hail from a particular region in India and insist on conversing in their native dialect while in your presence, keep yelling out in a sporadic manner, "Hey quit talking about my mother", till conversation either dies out completely or transitions into a more comprehensible format.

Darnit! Where was this tip when I was in Grad School. No, I knew the language well, just didn't like the rudeness with which they blissfully conversed in it when folks around didn't understand!

Rads

LOL!
I'm from Pune, but I live in Hyderabad.
And each of my friends speaks at least 2 south indian languages from Telugu, Kannada, Tamil and Malayalam!
Whenever they'd purposely talk in something other than english/hindi, I'd be like "Hey! stop speaking in south indian!"
lol...
And then the south indian pride would kick in and they'd try and explain to me how they are all different languages.
me : "Yeah whatever, as long as you don't speak south indian."

Used to piss the shit outa them... hahaha
